Scottish Country Dancing

Welcome to the Box Hill & District Scottish Society. We run regular Scottish Country Dancing nights in Surrey Hills in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.

Every Tuesday from March to November 

Surrey Hills Uniting Church, 

Cnr Canterbury Rd & Valonia Ave

7.30 - 10.00 pmBeginners commence at 7.30pm.


Come and see and have a go at an easy dance tradition which exercises mind and body. Scottish Country Dancing is danced in  sets of usually 4 couples arranged in two lines with men facing ladies and who dance a sequence of formations. Everyone is welcome, you don't need to be Scottish or to bring a partner - all you need is comfortable casual clothing including a pair of flat, soft shoes. Beginners and experienced dancers all welcome.

Class fee $7 members, $10 non-members

*First night is free!


Please bring your own water bottle and you are encouraged to wear a face mask
